As the implementation arm of the Ministry of Public Administration and Digital Transformation, iGovTT has become a trusted partner and provider of ICT services; responsible for the implementation of Government’s enterprise-wide ICT strategies and programmes.
The Government portal high availability allows a backup site to be available 24x7x365, thus maintaining availability of ttconnect Online Portal services. In September 2015, the high availability solution was deployed. New hardware and upgraded software were also deployed for greater reliability and delivery of Government e-Services. The primary portal is hosted at iGovTT's Government Data Centre 1 while the secondary portal is hosted at the Government Data Centre 2, allowing for closer connectivity to GovNeTT.
iGovTT was engaged by the former Ministry of Science and Technology to provide procurement, contract and project management services in the establishment of Community-based ICT Access Centres. These centres provide e-Government services, free Internet access and ICT training to citizens and business communities. Star.tt Access Centres are located in Marac, Cumana, Penal and Guayaguayare.
iGovTT engaged the services of a vendor for the installation, configuration and maintenance of Wi-Fi Hotspots for the travelling public on the Public Transportation Services Corporation (PTSC) Higer Deluxe coaches and Sunlong Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Buses. These hotspots have been made available on thirteen mobile buses.
iGovTT deployed the first release of the Government Portal's Single Sign-On system in July 2015. This allowed for seamless integration between the ttconnect ID authentication mechanism and Government ministries e-Services. iGovTT has since collaborated with the Inland Revenue Division (IRD) to provide authentication and profile synchronization services for IRD's e-Tax System, which allows citizens to file their taxes online.
Under the GoRTT Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, iGovTT approved services for the allocation of Microsoft Consulting Hours for the development and deployment of an Intranet for the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago. This project, which commenced in December 2014, has provided a robust platform to modernize the internal operations, whilst reducing paper utilisation and removing redundancies from the creation of multiple paper documents.
The Ministry of Finance engaged iGovTT in August 2014, to assist with strengthening its internal mechanisms to control, manage and dispatch documents on a daily basis. A business requirements study was completed to aid the Ministry's goal of procuring an Electronic Document Management System. iGovTT also provided specialist Business Advisory, Technical Advisory and Project Management services to the Ministry.
The Ministry of National Security engaged iGovTT to provide procurement services for the provision of an Electronic Monitoring Solution. Electronic monitoring devices will be affixed to individuals subject to electronic monitoring for compliance with orders of the Courts.
The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service requested the services of iGovTT for the development of an ICT Strategic Roadmap. The objective is for full computerisation and connectivity of the twelve stations within the Prison Service.
