In the tradition of Anansi, the keeper of all stories and wisdom, this new tool is designed to untangle the complex web of government information for the benefit of every citizen.

The Challenge
We have listened to you, and we understand the challenges. Whether trying to understand the requirements for a new business or applying for a grant, you might find yourself navigating multiple websites, searching many pages, and still not feeling quite so confident that you have the clear answer you need.
This frustration represents a “time tax”—time taken away from family, from building businesses, and from contributing to our communities. We believe it is our duty to reduce this burden.
An Evolution in Service
Many of you may have used the ttGovChat chatbots on various ministry websites. These were a foundational first step in our digital evolution, providing answers from a list of frequently asked questions. While a step in the right direction, we recognise that each chatbot still operated in a silo, with the information on one ministry’s website completely isolated from all the others. Furthermore, these chatbots were not yet truly intelligent – they responded to menu clicks, but could not understand questions asked in your own words.
Anansi is the evolution of this system.
It is a significant upgrade to the chatbots you’ve come to know. Anansi connects the knowledge of 32 government ministries, departments, and agencies into one single, intelligent brain. Now, when you ask Anansi a question on any participating government website, you get access to information from across the entire network. You no longer need to know which ministry holds the answer. in order to have your questions addressed.
